Albert Kwok

Remedial Massage Therapist

Tuesday 1pm - 7pm, Saturday 8am - 12pm

Albert originally graduated from RMIT University with a double bachelor degree in Engineering and Applied Science relating to technology. He then spent over two decades in the corporate environment working for several large organisations for a number of years, where he became a patient of myotherapists and physiotherapists who had helped with professional performance artists. He had the “first-hand” experience of being treated by those same therapists throughout the years, which piqued his interest in all things health and well-being related.

Since moving back to Australia a few years ago - after living in the United Kingdom for nearly 15 years - Albert was considering a change in career. Reflecting on the therapists who addressed his back issues in previous years, his interest was sparked in injury rehabilitation and management. Having completed the Diploma of Remedial Massage at RMIT University in 2021, it has ignited his curiosity of the human anatomy, musculoskeletal systems, and the ability to make palpable changes to others living with different injuries and conditions. Albert is now a remedial massage therapist whose treatment techniques include: deep tissue massage, myofascial cupping, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, and manual lymphatic drainage. Furthermore, he also holds qualifications in kinesio-taping and dry needling.

Making a difference to people via physical therapy has been rewarding and has made him yearn to learn more - Albert is currently enrolled in the prestigious double bachelor Osteopathy Health Science degree at RMIT University. When not studying or working, Albert loves travelling, history, technology, architecture, and gastronomic experiences.
